Montgomery County Sheriff's
Office - Collective Bargaining requires that an extension of the
probationary period of certain deputy sheriffs by the Montgomery County
Sheriff be in accordance with any applicable collective bargaining agreement;
requires that the Sheriff's discretion to make certain determinations be
subject to an applicable collective bargaining agreement; requires that the
Sheriff's rights and responsibilities to make certain decisions be subject to
certain provisions of the Montgomery County Code and any applicable collective
bargaining agreement; expanding collective bargaining rights to certain
deputy sheriffs in Montgomery County; requires that certain personnel
appointed by the Sheriff be subject to an applicable collective bargaining
agreement under certain circumstances; excludes a certain agreement from the
requirement that the rights and responsibilities of the Sheriff may not be
impaired in a certain manner; repeals a provision that specifies that certain
rights and responsibilities of the Sheriff are considered a part of each
collective bargaining agreement reached by the Sheriff and an employee
organization; requires that each deputy sheriff whose duty assignment requires
the use of a motor vehicle be reimbursed in an amount set forth in an
applicable collective bargaining agreement; specifies the intent of the
General Assembly; makes certain conforming changes; and generally relates to
collective bargaining rights and the Sheriff's office of Montgomery County.

Charter Amendments - Number of Petition Signatures proposes an amendment to
the Maryland Constitution to authorize Montgomery County to modify, through
charter amendment, the number of signatures required for certain petitions
proposing charter amendments; makes technical changes; and submits this
amendment to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their adoption or
rejection.

of a special event license; requires that during a special event, a supervisor
who has successfully completed certain training be designated by the license
holder to be present at all times; authorizes the Board to set certain

Opportunities Commission - Collective Bargaining provides that if a certain
petition that demonstrates that certain employees in a bargaining unit support
representation by an exclusive representative for collective bargaining and a
certain petition that demonstrates that certain employees in a bargaining unit
no longer support the current exclusive representative are filed at the same
time, one election shall be held to determine which employee organization, if
any, shall be the exclusive representative; provides for the contents of the
ballot; provides that if a petitioning employee organization is certified, the
employee organization shall be treated as a successor in interest and party to
any collective bargaining agreement to which the previous employee organization
was a party; and generally relates to collective bargaining and the Montgomery
County Housing Opportunities Commission.

Montgomery County -
Maryland Condominium Act - Rental Housing Emergency provides that certain
developers in Montgomery County are not required to grant extended leases
covering a certain percentage of the units within a condominium to certain
households; provides for the allocation of condominium units under certain
circumstances; provides that in Montgomery County, on finding and declaring a
certain rental housing emergency, the county or an incorporated municipality in
the county may grant a certain family a right to a certain extended lease;
provides that a right to an extended lease may not result in a requirement that
a developer set aside more than a certain percentage of the total number of
condominium units for an extended lease; provides for a certain maximum term of
an extended lease; provides for a certain election by the tenants of a certain
rental property; makes stylistic changes; and generally relates to the Maryland
Condominium Act.
